This section lists the most important so-called ‘area search engines’. These are engines for performing researches in thematically selected portions of the Web defined in advance by the constitution of pools of Web sites regarding certain areas of scholarship. It may be observed that a specific tool of this kind for the historical resources has not been yet set up so far.
