Within the marginally Spanish lexicon the term artifara (or “artífara” accordingly to the guidelines of some dictionaries of the XVIII and XIX centuries) meant “bread”; “artifero” manifestly was the “backer”. To the promoters of this project (all connected with the Spanish Section of Literary and Philological Science Department of Turin University) it seemed that from the two first coordinates of the term artifara (marginality, quality of the product) could emerge a bundle of semantic dimension, alive both in real and symbolic level, extremely useful for the final definitions of the guidelines for a project of electronic review within the Spanish and Latin American zone. A review that on one hand wants to measure itself with topics and aspects of different cultures and literatures developed under the common shared Iberic label not fossilized in a old academic dimension but opened to any new and fresh critical attitude towards innovation, fantasy and transgression, even when marginal and vaguely picaresque. Talking about a review, that within the underlined terms, aims to reach and divulgate that vital nourishment that too often is denied to those not belonging to the class of “good guys”, often obliged as the protopícaro Lazar to beg a poor coppersmiths for the keys of “bread heaven”.

Moving up from these premises Artifara draw the attention of those which desire to cooperate to its realization five sections, each marked by a Latin or Latinist term choose not for cultural affectation (which would be in contradiction to the inspiration principles of the magazine) but for taxonomic utility:
